Information

This session will explore how storytelling functions as infrastructure to advance the triple‑bottom‑line—People, Planet, and Prosperity—across buildings, neighborhoods, and community‑scale sustainability efforts. Participants will examine how narrative, visual media, community voice, and design work together to translate technical performance into shared understanding, investment, and long‑term systems change.

The session will address key questions including:
• How does storytelling influence sustainability decision‑making and public investment?
• How can narrative help scale project‑level impact to communities and cities?
• How does LEED’s evolution demonstrate the power of shared language and storytelling in global market transformation?
• How can community narratives strengthen equity, trust, and policy alignment?

New information will include community‑centered case studies, examples of LEED projects using narrative and performance messaging effectively, and practical tools for integrating storytelling into design, engagement, and sustainability reporting workflows. Attendees will learn how strategic narrative amplifies measurable outcomes such as climate action participation, policy adoption, emissions reductions, health improvements, and community‑scale resilience.
