Collaboration and strategic partnerships play a pivotal role in addressing the complex challenges associated with achieving net zero carbon goals. This panel discussion aims to delve into the intricate dynamics within the built environment value chain, exploring how various stakeholders—from manufacturers to building owners to sustainability consultants—interact and influence one another. By examining these interactions, the discussion will shed light on how different sectors can work together more effectively to develop and implement solutions for decarbonization.
The panel will explore each stakeholder’s approach to decarbonization, common challenges faced at different stages of the value chain, and how each has worked with their stakeholders to drive change. Environmental disclosures will be discussed as a practical tool to use during product development, product specification, and sustainable procurement. The role of education and change management will also be addressed to ensure internal and external stakeholders are working from a shared point of understanding on carbon goals and to enforce accountability.
