This session explores how AI-enabled support can reduce friction across the green building lifecycle�from design guidance and documentation readiness to performance interpretation, operational decision-making, and verification confidence. Drawing from USGBC�s Innovation & Research, Technology, and partnership work, the discussion will examine how AI can help teams navigate complex requirements, connect fragmented information, and make sustainability guidance more actionable while preserving professional judgment, accountability, and sustainability intent.
Speakers will use practical implementation patterns from AI-enabled sustainable design guidance, internal knowledge support, performance data interpretation, and platform-connected workflows to discuss what is becoming possible and what must be designed carefully. Topics will include trusted knowledge sources, data quality, integration boundaries, human escalation, user adoption, and success measures.
